Many people are unaware that locks should be lubricated! In Arizona, especially with the Monsoons and dust storms it is important to lubricate your locks, you can use a liquid spray can with Teflon or silicone.

When you purchase a new car you receive a set of keys along with a metal or paper tag with a number on it.  This is your key code.  It should be recorded and placed in your wallet.  It will save you a lot of time and money should you lose your key.  File the original code in a safe place.

If you should purchase a pre-owned vehicle, don't leave without a second working key.  Many dealers are selling these vehicles with one key and if it is lost, the cost for making new keys could equal or exceed the car payment.
